Each family of a Royal Blue Regiment Marching Band or Color Guard student is asked to consider a Fair Share Pledge of at least $400 to help cover essential program expenses that extend beyond our annual budget, including
Instrument purchases and maintenance
Music copyright and competition entry fees
Sound equipment
Transportation to and from competitions, and travel insurance
Uniforms and props for each show
Student meals and snacks on competition days
...and other program needs
For the 2026-27 season, with more than 90 students expected to participate, our program's need is significant.
We have worked hard to keep our request as affordable as possible. For comparison, nearby high schools typically request families to contribute between $600 and $800 per student.
Reaching our fundraising goal is critical to provide students with a successful and rewarding season. Our participation in Northern California competitions is only made possible by the generosity of our families and supporters.
The salary for one full-time Band Director is paid by the School District.
The program is partially funded through California Proposition 28 - Arts and Music in Schools Funding.
The remainder of needed program funding—approximately $63,000—comes from family and supporter pledges and donations, booster fundraising efforts, and Oakmont Field Festival proceeds.
Please complete the pledge form (link below) so your family's support can be tracked accurately. A minimum contribution of $400 per student is strongly suggested for each family.
After submitting the form, the link to our Givebutter webpage where online donations can be made will be provided to you. The link is also available below.
If you prefer, you may donate by cash or check, which can be dropped off at the OHS Band Boosters Drop Box in the band room. Please include your student's name with your donation and make checks payable to Oakmont Parents Club.
Your donation amount will always be kept confidential and will never affect your student’s grade or participation.
Every Royal Blue Regiment family is encouraged to support the band to the extent possible through both financial contributions and volunteer involvement (visit our volunteer page).
