Current high school students (grades 9–12) with a strong interest in healthcare or science are welcome to apply. No prior experience or minimum GPA is required—just curiosity and commitment.
We do not accept everyone who applies. Our application and screening process is designed to accept only a limited number of applicants. However, applicants who are not accepted are always free to apply during the following cycle.
No, the FHS Program is completely free of charge for all accepted participants.
Students will explore different healthcare careers, participate in lectures and hands-on activities, and connect with college mentors and healthcare professionals. The curriculum emphasizes learning, teamwork, and professional development.
Applications are submitted through a Google Form. In this google form, you’ll first provide basic information about your contact info, academic standing, & schedule. In the same form, the final section will be where you upload your video application for us to review.

Yes! Students who complete all program requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion recognizing their hard work and participation in the FHS Program.
Not at all. The FHS Program is designed to introduce students to healthcare fields, so no prior shadowing, research, or clinical experience is necessary.
Not at all. The FHS Program primarily uses an online platform (ZOOM) to conduct all sessions. Any in-person visits will be considered optional and will not count towards program attendance. Any optional in-person visits will be communicated to the participants well in advance.
The FHS program aims to provide equal opportunity to all individuals, regardless of race, gender, and disability. However, not all accommodations will be approved. Any accommodation requests should be clearly stated in the application, and such requests will be reviewed and approved only on a case-by-case basis.
The FHS program has a strict attendance requirement: all participants must attend 7 out of the 8 required sessions. However:
If it is a participant's first absence request: They may attend a make-up with another mentor later in the week as long as they have requested an absence and make-up at minimum 24 hours in advance of the session they will miss.
Any absences after the first will preclude the participant from earning a certificate of completion. The participant may continue through the remainder of the program, but they will not be eligible for a certificate of completion.
On a case by case basis, participants who miss more than 1 session may be provided the opportunity to return in the following cycle to complete their missing requirements and earn their certificate of completion.
