Neuromorphic devices such as synaptic transistors or memristors are considered as future computing elements that can achieve energy efficient artificial intelligence (AI). We develop various artificial synapses and discover underlying physics.Â
Sensors are bridges bewteen the real world and the digital space. We develop both passive and active sensors using thin-flim technologies. Our main interest lies on tactile and light sensors, including self-multiplexing active-matrix transistor-sensor array.
Thin film transistors (TFT) have great potential beyond the display. We develop advanced TFTs such as source-gated transistor (SGT) type TFTs, and aim to expand the application of TFT technologies to semiconducctors, sensors, or novel flexible logics.
