• If you are thinking about owning a SWD or waiting for one, I would encourage you to buy the book "The Spanish Water Dog Book" by Wanda Sooby and Di Williamson.  It does an excellent job of describing the quirks of SWDs and how to manage and train them to get positive results.  Most other books I have looked at just describe SWDs in general terms and are not as helpful.  I had to order mine from the UK so it does take awhile to get here.
