Our mission is to create opportunities for the adults in a child's school and home to work together, in very intentional ways, to lift the literacy skills of the child.
We envision people of all ages in East Hawaiʻi finding enjoyment, fulfillment, and success in and through literacy.
Who Are We?
We are a group of teachers who believe in the potential of all of our keiki to live lives of thinkers; using innovative and creative expressions, discovering meaningful solutions, and making decisions through sifting, then selecting relevant information. This requires mastering literacy.
At the same time, like you, we are also a group of families, community members, friends, and kamaʻāina that know the over-scheduled, under-funded, out-of-balance lives of wearing too many hats in the multiple roles of being mom, dad, grandma, grandpa and the many other home lives we live. But no matter what roles we hold, we are above all, adults in the lives of children. And, the keys to their literacy.
