Studio Policy

Welcome to a musical journey with piano instruction! You have entered a long-term commitment of efforts, time, and money to joy of piano playing.

First and foremost, please discuss with your piano student that (s)he has to understand the instructions and assignments during the lesson. In other words, the student has to pay attention during the lessons. And before leaving a lesson, (s)he has to understand what and how to practice. Questions are always welcome! Please do not come to a lesson and tell the teacher that the student did not know what to practice.

Second, set up a daily routine practice time throughout the week. Piano playing is learning a skill set, which is only possible when continuously practicing. Set a long-term goal with your student.

Thirdly, please discuss the instrument choices with the piano teacher before making the final decision of purchasing. Unless you already own an instrument, an adequate instrument for the level of playing is necessary.
