Mary Pugh

Mary Pugh has been a faculty member of the UofT Math Department since 2001. Before joining the UofT, she spent time at the Courant Institute of New York University, the Institute for Advanced Study, and the University of Pennsylvania, where she won a Sloan Research Fellowship in 1999. She received her BA from UC Berkeley and her MS and PhD from the University of Chicago. She’s an applied mathematician whose research involves working with physicists, engineers, and doctors to model real-world problems and study those models using computers. In her spare time, she reads, rides her bike, reads, watches movies, and reads.
