Abbi Grable

Abbi played all 4 years for LB at outside back and as an outside midfielder.

Favorite Memory: "Ciara Weets imitating one of the coaches (I won't mention who) at a team sleepover and participating in the MS Walk in D.C."

Abbi currently attends the University of Virginia studying Kinesiology and on the Pre-Med track.

Danielle Jouben

Dani played all 4 years for LB at attacking midfielder and was the jv captain her freshman year.

Dani is currently attending VCU as a business major.

Ghelila Teklemariam

Ghelila played all 4 years for LB as on outside back as well as an outside midfielder.

District Champion: 2014

Highlight: "Meeting Alex Kreiger from the US national team."

Favorite Memory: "One game one of my teammates shoe came off and she still managed to score a goal without a shoe."

Ghelila currently attends VCU double majoring in International Relations and Religious Studies. She is also a member of Tri Sigma sorority.

Ellie Weber

Ellie played all 4 years for LB primarily at outside back.

District Champions: 2014

All-Conference: 2013 (honorable mention), 2014 (2nd team), 2015 (1st team), 2016 (1st team)

All-State: 2015 (2nd team)

All-Met: 2015 (2nd team), 2016 (honorable mention)

Favorite memory from LB: "Without a doubt winning the conference in 2014. I am still very grateful to have been part of such a special team."

Ellie currently attends Louisiana State University (LSU) and plays outside back on the soccer team. She is studying to become a speech therapist.

Class of 2014

Katy Kunc

Katy played all 4 years for LB at center back, outside mid and up top.

District Champions: 2011, 2012, 2014

All-Conference: 2013, 2014

All-Region: 2014

All-Met: 2014 (honorable mention)

Team MVP: 2014

Favorite memory from LB: "1. Winning districts against undefeated Woodson in 2014 2. Win against Robinson in overtime in the regional tournament. Rachel Moody headed the ball in off of my corner kick to score the winning goal, and the photo made the front page of the paper."

Katy decided to run cross-country & track at the University of Kentucky. She majored in Economics and Marketing.

Katy is currently living in the Westchester area of New York where she is a professional runner for Hoka One One Member of the New Jersey/New York Track Club.

Katy's training generally consists of logging 75-80 mile weeks, lifting, cross training, and working on my hurdling technique. However, she still occasionally will go back to her roots and juggle my soccer ball or play with old friends :) My goal is to compete at the 2020 Olympic Trials in the steeplechase.

Note to any member of the LB Girls Soccer Program: You are a part of something special. Cherish every practice, game, or team hangouts. It will go by fast! You’ll make life long friends, better yourself in ways you would not expect, and learn to handle adversities. Best of luck to you all!

Class of 2012

Sarah Davidow

Sarah played all 4 years for LB as goalkeeper

District Champions: 2011, 2012

Favorite memory from LB: "My favorite memory with LBGS was winning the 2012 District Championship. This was my Senior year before playing college soccer and it was a fantastic way to finish off our last season on a strong note with my teammates."

Sarah graduated from Radford University in 2016 with a degree in Communication & Public Relations.

Sarah played goalie for the Radford Women's Soccer Team for one year.

Sarah currently lives in Virginia Beach, VA. Sarah is a Technical Recruiter for ManTech, a Defense contractor. ManTech provides technological services and solutions for our nation’s defense, security, space, and intelligence communities.

Class of 2011

Brittany Hopkins

Brittany played 3 years on the varsity soccer team from the spring of 2008 to 2010 at midfield and forward.

All District: 2008, 2009, 2010

Favorite memory: "Being the leading goal scorer on the varsity team my freshman year."

Brittany also excelled on the field hockey team where she was a four year starter from fall 2007 to 2010.

District Player of the Year: 2010

First Team All-State: 2010

First Team All Met: 2010

Brittany graduated from The College of William & Mary with a dual degree in Psychology and Marketing. She has her Masters in Elementary Education. While at William & Mary, Brittany was a four year starter for the field hockey team where she played midfield and forward. She helped the team to a #18 national ranking her sophomore year and appeared in the CAA Semi-Finals her sophomore through senior years.

Brittany is currently a third grade teacher at Sangster Elementary. She also coaches field hockey for Rampage and is the head field hockey coach at Woodson High School.
