The primary mission of the DOE’s Student Transportation Services Branch (STSB) is to provide transportation supports to eligible general education and special education students from home to school and back home again pursuant to Board of Education Policy. The STSB contracts all pupil transportation services through private providers and charges a nominal fare to students who do not qualify for free bus transportation.
Schools, complexes and districts are supported by a District Transportation Officer (DTO) whose primary mission is to serve as transportation liaison on all matters relating to pupil transportation. School administrators are urged to contact their district transportation office first with questions or concerns regarding school bus services.
