General Guidelines

• Any and all ships welcome! Rarepairs encouraged! 

• Any and all formats are welcome: fics, art, music/audio, etc. 

• There is no minimum word count, or maximum, for that matter.

• Yes, you can include more than one prompt at a time. No, they don't have to be from the same day—mix and match as you like. Just try to post on or after the day of one of the prompts.

• Basically, have fun and do what inspires you!

Not allowed:

• No race play or racism

• No Nazi anything

• No bigotry in general

• No underage

• No fetishizing of people by reducing them to physical characteristics (for example: disability, race, etc.)

While the "not allowed" topics can sometimes be handled with nuance or be meaningful/cathartic for the people affected, this particular event is not the venue for that. If you include anything from the "not allowed" list in your fic, it will be removed from the collection and it won't be promoted on social media channels. 

Use the ratings and tags

For works published to the collection on AO3, please take advantage of the rating and tagging systems.

Rating and tagging accurately helps people avoid things they don't like or to find exactly what they're looking for. 

NOTE: The "dead dove: do not eat" tag is not meant to be used on its own. The whole point is that you tag accurately and add the dead dove tag as a way to say "no, really, I mean it, the fic contains what the tags say it contains." Any fic using the dead dove tag without additional tags will not be accepted into the collection. 

Publishing and Promoting

The collection name is OFMDFetFeb2024 — copy that name and paste it into the collection field and it should work!

Try to publish your fic on or after the day allotted for it in the prompt list. If you have multiple prompts in a submission, just choose one—don't stress about it.

Use the hashtag #OFMDFetFeb to promote your work or others' work, and feel free to tag @OFMDFetFeb on Twitter or Tumblr for a repost.
