Offpath began as a critique towards the lack of representation from BIPoC and underrepresented communities in our natural spaces and outdoor activities. Historically they have also been the most impacted by environmental injustices such as hazardous waste, resource extraction, and other land uses from which they do not benefit.
Working under an Environmental Intersectionality framework we recognize and advocate for the protection of both people and the planet. We focus on achieving climate justice, amplifying historically excluded voices and approaching environmental education, policy, and activism with equity, inclusion and restorative justice in mind.
We are rooted in the belief that our outdoor environments are for all. It can help us heal, restore and create the social change we need by raising awareness, sharing knowledge and building a stronger network of outdoor advocates.
We use this framework to bridge the understanding gap and provide accessible educational resources for those who want to learn, act and create a new narrative.
