The barbs are mine (Summer) and Emma's (my sister). We are the only two people who contribute to their stories and the development of their universe. 

No, they are not 100% original. Majority of the barbs are heavily inspired from Ever After High. Most of the girls from the friend group have the same look as their original characters. Over time, they have developed into more than the original EAH character. Although we have done original work, the barbs still have that EAH background. 

The barbs that are EAH dolls, are still descendants of fairytale parents (just like the show). Other than that, we have changed as much as possible and have built off the pre-existing lore. For example, Olivia Thorne is originally Farah Goodfairy. However, instead of being the daughter of the Fairy Godmother, she is a unicorn. Another example is with Jillian Beanstalk. Her name has remained the same as the EAH character, however, she has still had some changes. Her mom is the descendent of Jack and is originally from the giant land. Which in our doll world, is referred to "the clouds". Despite that, Jillian's whole family lives on Earth. They all live a normal life, minus the background. Olivia is the only unique case where her background has completely changed from her EAH one. Most of the EAH barbs are like Jillian, where the background is the same, but they still live normal lives. 

All in all, please keep this in mind when viewing the BarbieWiki or anything associated with the barbs. The barbs are not our original characters. The only 100% original barbs in the friend group are Josh, Kevin, Cole, Aden, and Stacy.

When we were younger, we used to refer to playing with our dolls as "playing barbies".  At the time, we only ever played with Ever After High and Monster High dolls. Therefore, I don't necessarily know where calling them our barbies came from. However, the nickname "barbs" is just a play on barbies. It is just a more shortened and less obvious way of referring to them as our dolls. 

I use my Twitter accounts as a way to post my likes and interests. Playing with dolls and developing the personalities of the barbs has been something with me since Elementary school. Art is another passion of mine, and so naturally, I wanted to draw the closest thing to a character that I had. Therefore, that opened the door for me to share their stories. While sharing the barbs online, I never claim them as my own. Even with the BarbieWiki, it is a project I made for the enjoyment of Emma and me. I use my social medias as a way to express myself, and that is what I do. 

Barbs is just the general word to refer to our dolls. Therefore, the barbs refer to everyone in their world. However, in some cases, the barbs are referring to the friend group. The reason for this is because the friend group are the main barbs that we like. Plus, it is simpler to refer to them as the barbs than say the friend group. It is shorter and easier. So, I would recommend connecting the context of the sentence to tell if we are talking about the barbs as a whole or specifically the friend group. 

In the BarbieWiki, it is centered around the friend group. However, there are also some barbs that will be mentioned in the BarbieWiki. The reason for this is because the BarbieWiki revolves around the whole universe, while being centered on the friend group. Therefore, those extra barbs are called randoms. They are not mains, more like side characters. Essentially, any barb that is not in the friend group, is a "random". 

For examples, look at the "Who's Whose?" page. There are lots of barbs that are listed under our names. Most of those barbs are irrelevant and will never be mentioned on the BarbieWiki. However, they still exist in the universe and can be listed as barbs. Think of it as the full cast that is listed at the end credits of a movie. Some randoms are more side characters than others. For example, they would be like "bully number 1" and "mailman" in the credits. Some more important randoms consist of Jessica, Ashlyn, Sebastian, Britney, Asher, and the siblings of the friend group.
