Little Shepherd Integrated Montessori was first established in 1986 with 11 students in Lumban, Laguna. The school was first located in Rosalina Gadaza and Jose Gadaza’s garage in their house in Tabia Street. Today, LSIM has now more than enough rooms to accommodate the current number of students from pre-elementary to senior highschool.
LSIM has always achieved its goal of producing pre-school children who can read before they reach Grade 1. From its elementary graduates, it has produced at least 6 passers of Philippine Science High School System. Four are currently studying at the PSHS CALABARZON and Central Luzon campuses. Its high school graduates have passed college entrance examinations in University of the Philippines, De La Salle University, Ateneo de ManilaUniversity, Universityof Sto. Tomasand other known universities and colleges in the country. Many of these graduates have become successful and licensed professionals in their respective fields of specialization.
As a non-sectarian school, LSIM takes pride in instilling love of God, oneself, and others no matter the religion of the child. It has tried its best in providing balance between academics and organized play thru science camps, costume plays, club activities, and other annual programs.
LSIM also actively participates in local celebrations and programs. It continues to strive for quality, relevant, accessible, and liberating education to all its learners by conducting field trips to apply what they learn: the proper conduct in public places such as restaurants; provide opportunities for learners to actually “feel” a career in broadcasting and even muster the courage to ask a classmate to a dance.
