I welcome applications from students whose research interests and academic background align with my work.

I strongly recommend scheduling a preliminary meeting prior to application. When contacting me, please attach your CV and a brief outline of your research proposal.

Please note that, in principle, I do not accept non-degree research students (“research students”) for the purpose of preparing for graduate school admission. Applicants wishing to enroll in the graduate program must take the entrance examination held in September. Those who have already obtained a master’s degree in area studies or a related field may also consider applying for the third-year transfer entrance examination held in January.
