The Campbells are 7th generation cattle ranchers and century farmers. As a family, they maintain 500 acres in Midway. From left: Cal, Jess, and Chad.

Boyd was born and raised in Paonia, spent his career as a lawyer and judge in Denver, and has returned to Paonia in his retirement to reestablish his family's farm.

The Haines moved to Paonia to live more sustainably. Each week, they cook Indian food for the community. From left: Amalie, Natalie, and Chris.

After moving to Paonia, Susie Kaldis Lowe started the North Fork Valley Creative Coalition, a nonprofit that manages and promotes the arts in the valley.

Ron Wist returned to Paonia from the Navy and worked in the coal mines for the rest of his career. Now retired, he spends his days tending to his horses.

Mark Waltermire moved to the North Fork Valley to farm. His organic hot peppers are a favorite in many front range farm to table restaurants.
