In this module, we will describe caries concerning:

1. Pathology (how cavities develop)

2. Epidemiology (which and to what degree different communities are affected)

3. Clinical interventions (how caries are prevented or treated once they occur)

4. Health care systems that address the prevention and treatment of caries
