Nominating someone for the Distinguished Alumni Award is something that we should all consider and it’s easy to do! The Osage Community School Distinguished Alumni Award has been established to recognize students that have attended a school in the Osage Community School District and have made outstanding achievements and contributions to society following graduation. These recipients represent strong role models for current students at Osage High School.
Candidates must have attended a school in the Osage Community School District at least ten years prior to nomination. This would include students from Orchard, Mitchell, New Haven and Little Cedar.
Candidates must have contributed to society in an exemplary manner.
Candidates must have achieved outstanding success in any of the following areas: the arts, business, community service, humanitarian efforts, or their profession.
Candidates must be living.
Candidate’s nomination paperwork will be valid for 10 years, after which the nomination will be dropped from the list of nominees. A follow-up letter will be sent to the person doing the nominating after 5 years as a reminder to update their nomination paperwork.

a letter of recommendation from yourself
plus one or two letters of recommendation from others who know the nominee
we encourage you to also send any other items such as newspaper or magazine articles that may have been published about your nominee.
