This policy covers TAXIMETRO (ioanMetaxas.taximetro) and TAXIMETRO PRO (appsNdowns.taximetroPro). Controller for app operation and support: Ioannis Metaxas — Odysseus Labs. Contact: taxameter.de@gmail.com.
Precise GPS location is processed locally to calculate distance, speed and indicative fares. We do not transmit your positions or trips to a developer server.
During an active measurement, a foreground service continues when another app is open or the screen is locked. Stop it using STOP. You may revoke location permission in Android settings; this prevents accurate distance measurement.
In the new free version, notifications display the active measurement. The optional “Display over other apps” permission shows the fare in a floating window; it does not read other apps. Disable the window through the menu or ×, or revoke the permission in Android settings.
No account is required. The apps do not request access to contacts, camera, microphone or messages.
Settings and measurement state, including times, distances, charges and the last position, are stored locally for restoration. No continuous geographical route history is stored.
The new free version keeps up to 100 completed trips; PRO 10.0 keeps up to 19. Records include dates, duration, distance, waiting time and amounts. Older records are overwritten when the limit is reached.
Delete history through the app. Clearing app storage in Android deletes local data and settings. We have no remote access to these records.
Android backup or device transfer may include app data, depending on your device and account settings. Manage backups separately: deleting local data does not necessarily delete an existing backup.
The new free version uses Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). Google and partners identified in the consent form may process IP address/general location, device and advertising identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic data for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. We do not include precise GPS positions or trip history in advertising requests.
Where required, consent is requested before the relevant processing. Use the menu's privacy options, when available, to review or withdraw choices. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Refusing personalised advertising does not necessarily prevent all processing associated with limited advertising.
PRO 10.0 has no advertising SDK. We do not sell GPS or trip data and use no separate developer analytics or remote crash-reporting SDK. Our own diagnostic messages are written locally to Android Logcat.
Local data is protected by Android's access controls; advertising connections use HTTPS/TLS. Google may process data for advertising, email support, Play purchases or Android backups; other device providers may handle backups. We do not receive payment card details. Providers apply their own retention and deletion rules and may process data outside the EEA. Where applicable, Google uses adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses. External services have their own policies.
If you email us, we process your address, message and any attachments on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing support. We retain them only as needed for the request or applicable legal obligations. Providing them is optional, but necessary for a response.
Location processing serves the function you request. Android location permission is separate from advertising consent.
Where applicable, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing by emailing us. Local records can be deleted on your device; use providers' own options for data they control. You may complain to a supervisory authority, including the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
We make no automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you.
This policy describes the new free update and PRO 10.0. Older installations may not have every feature described. We update this policy and relevant store disclosures when practices change; material changes and any necessary consent are presented before the corresponding processing begins.
