Player Responsibilities

A player should

Help their leader assign players to missions
Play his assigned mission if possible - just beware that Story Battles need to be played during the 2nd week of each round, usually wednesdays (to give enough time for story writing)
Report the result of their battle here (Warzone and Skirmish Battles).
Give a Thumbs up (👍) to another player in the dedicated discord channel (see Prestige Points in the basic rules)

My Army

You should create an army - it is called your Order of Battle.
- - Best tool for this is this spreadsheet.
  - It is just like starting a new Crusade Army but except for having ony 1000 points, you start with 2000
  - You start with 5 RP as normal and can use them straight away on Renowned Heroes or Increase Supply Limit (note that the effect is stronger if you control certain warzones) for example.
Updating your army and playing Crusade
- - Be aware of the new Requisition options which replace the old ones (found in the basic rules). Most importantly, you can't just take away a unit from your roster.
  - We are not playing with Agendas
  - All updates to your Order of Battle should be done right after the battle with your opponent as witness (out of action rolls, scars, battle honors)

Games

There are three main types of games
- Story Battles - only a few of them will open each round. You should play it at least once but most likely not every round. These are always played in Week 2 of each round.
- Warzone Battles - there will be quite a few of them open every round. If you do not play a Story Battle, you should be ready to play a warzone battle. These are played in Weeks 2 and 3 of each round.
- Skirmish Battles - If one game is not enough or your team really needs to reinforce somewhere, you can play any number of these battles. The bonus they give you in case of victory is 1/2 of a Warzone battle. These can be played any week of the round.

Communication

Use discord. Talk to your team. Discuss which army will work best with which scenario and offer insight into opposing armies after you play them.

Playing a Crusade Game

Playing a game in the campaign is very much like a normal game and follows this procedure:

From your roster (Order of Battle), choose units worth no more than the maximum allowed points for the battle following the standard procedures (max 3 copies of a unit, must include character).

note: Do not add any more Enhancements as these are permanently included with each character in Crusade

Play the battle. Keep a kill count for each of your units that is not an Epic Hero or swarm.
Choose a fitting unit from your army to receive Marked for Greatness (+3 xp)
Roll Out of Action rolls for each of your destroyed units (d6 roll, 1 is not good).

For each unit that failed choose either Devastating Blow (Lose a Battle Honor - only if it had one) or Battle Scar (roll randomly)

For Story and Warzone battles, add 1 xp to each unit (if a player does not have a warzone battle, this also applies to his first Skirmish battle)
Check if any unit has enough XP to gain a rank (0-5/6-15/16+) and choose an appropriate honor if it does (Battle Trait or Weapon Modification)
note: Notice that Crusade relics are gained in a different way in this campaign see Crusade.

Roll the Battle Trait or Weapon modification randomly with a single free re-roll if you wish. Optionally, if your opponent agrees, you may choose a fitting Battle Honor based on the just finished battle.

Leaders assign players to Story Battles and Warzone Battles (write it in official google sheets or if necessary message MKP on discord)
Leaders make choices (if any) for the global event (message MKP on discord)

Week 1, Day 7 - Pairings revealed

Week 2, Day 1 - Warzone Battles open

Week 2, Day 7 - Story Battles deadline

Week 3, Day 6 - Round deadline
