Octavia R. Wolf, MS.Ed (she/her) is entering her ninth year as public educator in Washington, D.C. She has served in Ward 4 Title I schools over the course of her career as both a middle school special educator and a 5th grade general educator (multiple subjects). She graduated from Longwood University in 2011 with a Bachelor of the Arts in Sociology (Family Studies concentration) and recieved her Masters of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University in 2022. She employs PBL, Experiential Learning, SEM, UDL, and culturally-responsive pedagogy and practice to meet the needs of all students.
Octavia believes that by uplifiting marginalized voices, speaking truth to power, and supporting fellow educational stakeholders, she can empower the families she serves to reconstruct the oppressive structures in education and redesign them into spaces by them and for them, with their lived experiences at the center. She has served in many teacher leadership roles such as the family engagement co-chair, teacher liason for the PSCO, and a mentor teacher. She enjoys arts integration and has directed five schoolwide productions in her career as an educator.
