Overview

The long term goal of the OCT Newscast is to provide information about Original Character Tournaments both past and present. This has been an on-again, off-again project I've been running since September 2021.  Currently the database and site is exclusively run by TopHatGeo, and the OCT Wiki operates on edits by people in the OCT Community.

Whilst I cannot guarantee a consistent update schedule, I'll try my best to keep the New OCT segment of this site up to date.

In order to keep updates easy to structure, the OCT Newscast site is the primary place to find information on New OCTs whilst the Wiki is the primary place for detailed notes on past tournaments. 

Weekly updates for the New OCT list won't always be possible as it can be quite a time consuming task. Contributions to the wiki, activity on the discord and suggestions are always welcome and appreciated.

Planned Features

I will be aiming to update the Miraheze Wiki in chunks, focusing on specific themes and tournament runs to avoid overscope. Any community contribution for the wiki is greatly appreciated.

Currently the new OCT list updates are done manually by me, however I'm looking into ways to streamline, simplify and automate this process. The New OCT list and the Wiki are the current priorities, but I may expand the scope of the project after streamlining these processes.

• Updating the Discord's rules/policies

• New OCT List automation/streamlining for updates

• Find a way to locate/sift through OCT data from webpages
