Character Cards contain art of Original Characters.
The Left side of the card has an HP bar.
You can keep track of your character's HP with the white slider.
The top has the OC’s creator, the OC’s name, and the OC’s type.
There are 4 types of Character Cards;
Fluffy, Machine, Humanoid, and Misfit.
Fluffy ← Machine ← Humanoid ← Fluffy | Misfit
Machines are weak against Humanoids,
Humanoids are weak against Fluffies,
Fluffies are weak against Machines.
Misfits are wild cards. You must read the ‘weakness’ information to see what they are weak against. These weaknesses will be things you can see on other Character Cards, Item Cards, or Wolrd Tiles. These observations can be things such as “The color purple” or “things with more than one eye.” For more on Weaknesses, to page (##)
Note: Some Abilities, Special Skills , and Items may contain a way to change your own or someone else’s type. In this case, equipped Items takes precedences over Abilities and Special Skills. For Abilities and Special Skills, the newer one will override the previous state.
The Lower middle area contains the move set you can use during battle.
・Attacks are moves with no cost; such as Sword Thrust.
・Special Skills are moves that need Items as payment like Moon Slash.
You can only use Items that match in type to your Character or Special Items as payment for Special Skills.
・For Special Skills, after you use them, the Items that were attached are then put into the discard pile.
・For example, if you want to use Moon Slash it takes 2-3 turns. On our first turn, you can attach 2 items as payment. These Items can be either Humanoid or a Special. Then on your next turn you can use the move, discarding those Items. For Nova Atlas's Special Skill, the text states that she doesn't strike until the following turn.
Make sure to read the text of the moves because many will state a bonus effect or some kind of condition.
The bottom of the card contains the Illustrator, the card's weakness, and a QR code to a link provided by the illustrator, normally their website. The weakness number tells you how much more damage your opponent will give your character if they are a certain type, have a certain appearance or item equipped, or are in a certain location.
For example, Humanoid characters are weak against Fluffy characters. For the Ralph card, If a Fluffy character attacks him, then Fluffy character’s attacks will get a bonus 2 added to their attacks.
For example, Mavra's Charge would do 7 damage instead of 5 on Ralph.
Some Character Cards have Abilities.
If a character has an Ability, it would be near the top of the card.
You can only use an Ability once throughout the whole game.
Yuni here is an example of a Character that has an Ability. He is also an example of a Character whose Special Skill has a condition.
When you try to use 360 No-scope after discarding three Items, you have to first roll a die twice. The Special Skill only activates if you manage to roll a six on both rolls. Otherwise, it does nothing.
When you draw from the Item Deck, you must first check if that card matches with one of your fellow players Characters.
You can just use your eyes to do so.
If it does, then that Item is now Lost Baggage and you cannot use, equip, or discard it.
Please place the Lost Baggage face down near yourself, in a separate location then where you store the other Items you draw.
There are only 2 ways that Lost Baggage can be taken out of your hand. An opponent could have an ability or Item that allows them to steal or copy Items, or someone defeats your Character in battle.
Note: When drawing a card, you do not have to show your fellow players what card you picked up, but your fellow players are also allowed to attempt to peak at your cards.
On your turn, you can choose to use an Item. If you do so, that card will then be discarded unless it is a card you can equip. This would be written on the card. Discarded items get put at the bottom of the item deck.
If you see the phrase “You Must Discard That Many Items” that means you have to try to discard as many of your items as you can based on the number you rolled. For example, if you only have 3 items, and you rolled a 5, all you have to do is discard the 3 items you have.
If you see the phrase “Discard And Draw Up To That Many Items” that means that you can choose how many items in reference to the number you rolled to discard. For each item you discard, you may draw that many items. For example, if you rolled a 6, you can choose to discard only 1 item to draw 1 new item from the deck.
If it’s a card you can equip, that means that the card's abilities are added on to your characters. Once equipped, that card will stay equipped to your character and cannot be unequipped.
Note: You can only equip one card per character throughout the whole game, and this card cannot be Lost Baggage.
Item Cards can be categorized into two types. Set Items and Special Items.
Set Item Cards
Set Items can either be used as a one time ability , equipped, or used as payment for a Character’s Special Skill. These Set Items will have either orange, blue, green, or purple boarders around the cards. It will also have a mascot in the top right corner telling you which type it is. When Item are used as payment for Special Skill, you can only use items that match your Characters type or Special Items.
Orange is Humanoid
Blue is Fluffy
Green is Machine
Purple is Misfit
You can only use Items as payment during battle, but you can equip or use it’s one-time-ability as your bonus action during your turn. The Item is then discarded after it is used.
If an Ability or Special Skill, was used to change your type, the newer type change will override your previous type, and you must now only use the new type’s items for payment or Special items.
However, if an Item was equipped to change your own type, you will not be able to have your type changed again afterwords.
The Top contains an image of the Character Card that matches it, along with a name for the Item, and it’s type.
In the middle of the card is the card's ability. If you equip a card that says Equip, it means that the Items ability is triggered automatically in certain situations. The situation is written on the card.
For example, if you Equip PLASMA BLADE, then each time you use an Attack or a Special Skill, the Item’s ability triggers.
Note: You can only equip one card per character throughout the whole game, and this card cannot be Lost Baggage. Once equipped, that card will stay equipped to your character and cannot be unequipped
The bottom left has the name of the owner of the matching Character. After that, it tells you if you discard it after using its Ability, or it reminds you that you can only equip 1 Item. On the right is a QR code supplied by the owner of the OC.
Note: If a card does not say Equip, then you cannot equip that card.
Special Item Cards
Special Items can be either equipped, or used as payment for a Character’s Special Skill. They have golden boarders with orange, blue, green, and purple corners. They can be used as payment for any type of character’s Special Skill.
Some Special Item trigger an event when they are drawn. On those cards, after the event is triggered, you keep the card. You may use it as payment for a Character’s Special Skill.
A Special Item will either have a When Drawn trigger or a When Equipped trigger.
Note: Their card numbers start counting based on the number of set cards are in volume or expansion.
For example, Welcome To OCniverse Vol. 0 has 20 matching cards; with a total of 32 Items. This means that it's Special Items are numbered from 21/20 to 32/20.
When Drawn
When Drawn means that when you first draw the card from the Item Deck and from Your Deck that effect will be triggered.
Below the effect is the name of the card along with a reminder that Special Items can be used as payment for any kind of Special Ability.
On the bottom right is the Illustrator and owner of the OC of the Special Item, along with a reminder that you should discard this card if used as payment for a Character Card’s Special Ability.
Then we have a QR code that you can scan to get to the Illustrator and OC’s information.
When Equiped
If you equip a card that says Equip, it means that the Items ability is triggered automatically in certain situations. The situation is written on the card.
Below the effect and situation is the name of the card along with a reminder that Special Items can be used as payment for any kind of Special Ability.
On the bottom right is the Illustrator and owner of the OC of the Special Item, along with a reminder that you should discard this card if used as payment for a Character Card’s Special Ability.
Then we have a QR code that you can scan to get to the Illustrator and OC’s information.
Note: You can only equip one card per character throughout the whole game, and this card cannot be Lost Baggage.
Once equipped, that card will stay equipped to your character and cannot be unequipped
These cards are used to create the board we play on, and each card will have some text on it, which may help or impede your journey. Eventually, you will stumble upon your character's World Tile. This is where you must present your player Character along with their Item to win the game.
You can tell if a World Tile matches a Character Card by seeing if the art matches between the two cards\
On the top of the World Tile has its name and some text describing the location.
In the middle is the Character Card it matches with.
The bottom area contains the World Tile’s effect. When you land on one of these tiles, read and follow the directions written down before your turn ends.
The large text is an effect that has no condition, and the smaller text described a conditional effect.
For example, if you land on Crumbling Cathedral you must roll a die.
Then you have a condition. If you rolled a 3 or under, your turn is skipped. And if you rolled a 4 or above, you get to move to an adjacent tile.
Another example is shown here on the Sonaris: A Dimension On Fire World Tile.
If you land on Sonaris: A Dimension On Fire then you must attach a RED slider to your Character, roll a die, and your next turn will be skipped. Then you have its condition, which is that if you land on a 6, you can move your character to a new tile as well.
Player Action
World Tiles can also have special events called Player Action. These events can totally change gameplay, so be sure to read the tile well. Some events could even affect all players.
For the World Tile Terrabyte, as long as your character is standing on it, you must keep a straight face, or you’ll have to add the RED status effect slider to your character.
