TaxSlayer Pro Login Process

TaxSlayer Pro is to be used only when preparing actual tax returns for clients.  Never use TaxSlayer Pro for practice.  Use Practice Lab instead.

To access TaxSlayer Pro, open a Chrome browser window and navigate to vita.taxslayerpro.com.  Click on the box labeled "Pro Online", as shown in the figure.  This will take you to the TaxSlayer Login screen.  Do not use the "My Account Login" button.

You will now be at the Main Menu page of TaxSlayer, or you may have to verify your identity using 2-factor authentication (2FA).

If you get the two-factor authentication (2FA) screen, you must also enter a code which TaxSlayer will send you.  Select either the text or email option and click Send Code.

You should receive the verification code as either a text message or email within a few seconds.  If not, after a minute retry by clicking Send Code, again.  When you receive the 6-digit Verification Code, enter it in the Verification Code box. (Don't mistake the sender's code, which is 5 digits, for your 2FA code which is  6 digits.)

You should now be at the TaxSlayer Main Menu.
