Overview

Use this link to the TaxSlayer Home page for:

Practice Lab - your individual tax training and practice area with all the features of the full TaxSlayer Pro Online. (requires login)
- Use Practice Lab to prepare practice tax scenarios and to complete your certification tests. Practice Lab supports the current tax year as well as the prior 3 tax years. Be sure you use the current tax year for your Certification Test!
- A direct link to Practice Lab is also provided at the IRS Link & Learn page.

TaxSlayer Practice Lab

For training purposes, the IRS provides a convenient direct link to Practice Lab at Link & Learn. You can also access Practice Lab from the TaxSlayer home page, VITA/TCE Springboard. The information below assumes you are accessing Practice Lab from the TaxSlayer home page.

Navigate to TaxSlayer Home (VITA/TCE Springboard). There are links to Practice Lab and Pro Online. Never use TaxSlayer Pro Online for practice. Always use Practice Lab.

After selecting the Practice Lab link, you will see the screen, below.

Enter the general access password "TRAINPROWEB" to gain access to the Practice Lab login.

At the Practice Lab login, enter your Practice Lab credentials.

If you need to create a new user account, use SIDN S23010172.

Once account is created, use your personal ID and PW to login to the Practice Lab training Page. There you will find TaxSlayer training modules including recorded classes and practice tax returns.

Practice Lab Login

This is the home page for TaxSlayer training. It contains online training modules and practice problems for TaxSlayer & Practice Lab.

To open Practice Lab, itself, select the Go to Practice Area button.

Practice Lab Main Menu

This is the start page for Practice Lab. It is a full-function TaxSlayer emulator that works exactly like TaxSlayer Pro Online. Use it to learn how TaxSlayer works and to enter practice returns during training and for certification.
