DO's & DON'Ts
Researchers are requested to note the following Do's and Don'ts before mailing their queries to the volunteers.
Do's
Mail your query only to one volunteer for one-to-one contact;
Share a detailed query with your basic personal details such as: name of your university/institute, type of research work you are undertaking (PhD/MPhil/MRP, etc.), research topic, contact number, etc;
Send a separate mail if you have another query which falls under another category of theme;
Acknowledge the mail/s as soon as you receive from our volunteers;
If you are satisfied with the answer/s, a thanking mail from you gives us a sense of satisfaction for initiating this noble cause of helping you in your research work;
Be in touch with your University's/ institute's library staff for necessary assistance.
Be in touch with your research supervisor/ faculty for necessary assistance/guidance.
Dont's
Expecting a quick reply from the volunteer as sometime some queries may require a lot of time to properly answer;
Asking login details of e-resources subscribed by your university/college/other institutes;
Expecting a full-text article/document from a subscribed/paid resource;
Complaining when you are not satisfied with the answers/solutions (instead, you may please send the same query to the other volunteer);
Repeatedly sending the same query to the volunteer or all volunteers;
Asking about dates of opening of universities/labs, registration formalities, examination dates, examination patterns, result, PET exam, SOPs, complaints, etc.
Asking about rules/ guidelines/ policies meant for researchers in/of your university/institute.
Writing to the offilical email ID of the volunteers. (Please write to the personal email ID of volunteer provided in this website)
