Methods: As you likely know from the About Me page, I am dual enrolling here while still in high-school and that this is also my first traditional class setting. Even though this is very new to me I believe that my methods in homeschool should still apply given more attentiveness. Some of those include balancing study time, making sure I have a clear head when working on projects, and most importantly always keeping up communication with the teacher. However some new methods I will likely have to put to use are balancing work hours between this class and my online schooling, as well as making sure I still have time for myself. Aside from these reflections obviously being good checkpoints for assessing how well I'm learning, a way I feel would work would be to simply check my notes from different dates. See if I'm putting down what the teacher says is important or is on a quiz and that I'm doing it correctly. As for the prospect of an ungraded class, I'm a bit mixed but slightly leaning towards positive. Its nice not having a big number on the brain constantly, though obviously there will have to be one at the end of the semester. However, the realigned focus to the information itself brings up a personal concern for me because retention of things seen as school by my brain isn't my strong suit. I could study same day or the night before a test on a subject and do great, but if I was asked two days after the test I wouldn't remember anything, and I worry that could undermine how well I did during the talk on what grade I "deserve" at the end of the semester as you mentioned. Still I'm pretty confident I'll do well because I tend to do pretty well in general with school when I get my mind on track.
SMART Goals: Due to how new the environment is for me, I would say my goal for this class specifically is to just pass the class but more importantly have this class help me get used to the college setting, as a traditional college would be even tougher. If this were a graded class, I'd keep the same goal here as my other classes in Connections Academy of getting at least a B, I believe by the time the year ends I'll be decently acclimated to the college environment so I would say its fairly realistic.
Other Thoughts: I don't have too many miscellaneous things to say, again mainly due to a class like this being so new. Though I will say that I hope this class goes well both for me and for my teacher.
