Oceania Zonal Chess Championships 2027

Invitation

Canterbury Chess Club, on behalf of the New Zealand Chess Federation, Oceania Chess Confederation, and FIDE, invite players from all Oceania National Chess Federations and associated members to participate in the 2027 Oceania Zonal Chess Championships to be held in Christchurch, New Zealand from the 22nd to the 27th of January 2027.

Open & Women's Zonals and a Blitz Championship

Note that it is important to enter and book accommodation quickly as it is still school holidays and a long weekend in Australia and Wellington. Also note that general entries to the Open Zonal are restricted to a maximum of 160 players + official players and GMs, WGMs, IMs and WIMs.

Update: General entries to the Open Zonal are currently closed as all 160 places have been taken. Options are being explored with the venue for additional space, but in the meantime, please register for the waitlist here: https://forms.gle/zbe29KvRAEBeGDhw9. Entries are still being accepted to the Women's Zonal and blitz.
