Outstanding Media Program
Recipient: OCAEM Member and OCPS Staff member
The OCAEM Outstanding Library/Media Program Award recognizes the hard work, creativity and sweat equity you put in to your programs. What have you done this year to get your students excited to read? What collaborations have you done with other staff members? Now is the time to brag! This award will be presented at the Principal’s Breakfast.

Exceptional Media Library Clerk Award
Recipient: OCAEM Member and OCPS Media Clerk
The Orange County Association of Media in Education will honor one Exceptional Library Media Clerk from each level at its Principals Breakfast in April. This award recognizes clerks who exceed expectations in professionalism, collaboration, and media center excellence. Nominees must demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and strong knowledge of library procedures. Exceptional candidates also show initiative, a love of reading, information literacy, and commitment to personal growth. Applications must exclude names or identifying details and include a supporting letter from a faculty member.
Complete the nomination form and include a supporting letter from another faculty member. Do not include any names or identifying details within the form answers—entries with personal identifiers will be disqualified.
Distinguished Administrator Award
Recipient: OCAEM Member to Nominate School Administrator
Does your administration go above and beyond to support the media center and literacy? Tell us how they do so by completing the following digital form and letters of recommendation by March 10th. The administrator will be recognized at the Principal’s Breakfast.
Complete the following form. Make sure you have your letter of recommendation and one from your colleague prior to filling it out.

Recipient: Highschool Student
If you are a member of OCAEM and FAME, your high school seniors are eligible to apply for this essay contest on the topic of Intellectual Freedom.
Please distribute this information to your seniors and guidance counselors. OCAEM needs your entries no later than February 27th for judging, please.
We will accept TWO essays from each school.
