"...Next on the bill was Øblivia from Plattsburgh. They performed as a two piece outfit with Luke Gerhardt on drums and Alex Rudnick on bass. They played a mix of instrumental original tunes and covers, including a rendition of “The Grudge” by Tool. Clocking in at almost nine minutes, the polyrhythmic song features intricate drumming and basslines. It constantly switches between 5/4, 6/4, 8/4, and 4/4 time signatures. A highlight of their set was their closing song, a cover of “Everlong” by The Foo Fighters. Rudnick invited anyone from the crowd to come up and sing, so Nate Brien of Ogdensburg and Jacob Wheeler of Malone jumped in and sang with arms around each other’s shoulders.
“I’ve never played in a library before and this was awesome,” Rudnick said. “A lot of respect to the guys for putting it on. A lot of times, bands steer clear of small towns, because who’s going to come to a show in a small town?”
“This might be the most amount of people we’ve ever played to, but in a library in like a tiny ass town? That’s impressive and I have a lot of respect for the people doing this.”"
