Øblivia was formed in 2024 by bassist Alex Rudnick and drummer Luke Gerhardt, former members of the punk band Burn Your Idols. The band spent the next year touring in search of a singer, briefly picking up the former singer of Never Fall Apart to release a song together, before continuing on into 2026 as a two-piece once again.
