My name is Leixin Ma. I will join ASU SEMTE (School for Engineering of Matter, Transport & Energy) in August 2023. I am a postdoctoral fellow in Structures-Computer Interaction Lab at UCLA. I am adivsed by Prof. Khalid Jawed in the Department of UCLA Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Prof. Vwani Roychowdhury in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. I obtained my PhD degree in the department of Mechanical Engineering at MIT where I work in Prof. J. Kim Vandiver's SHEAR7 group. I collaborated closely with towing tank group at MIT directed by Prof. Michael Triantafyllou. I obtained my bachelor's degree at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where I worked in Prof. Shixiao Fu's marine hydroelasticity group and collaborated with Prof. Torgeir Moan at NTNU on the hydrodynamics analysis of large-scale aquaculture systems. I am also currently an associate editor in Journal of Ocean Engineering and Marine Energy, and the topic organizer of Digitalization, AI/ML, Digital Twins session at OMAE 2023 (42nd International Conference on Ocean, Offshore & Arctic Engineering)
