RISK MANAGEMENT IDEAS:

Drinking games, to ensure hydration.

Attitude adjustment hour! Everybody gets a bit hangry and frustrated around 3-4pm. Be prepared with some water and snacks. Do your best to have down time at some point in the afternoon.

Develop a RAD (Route And Description) plan for your hikes. Estimate the time it will take for your group to travel along the trail. Include time for rest stops, snacks/lunch and time to enjoy the surroundings. In general, a group of youth will travel at 2mph. You can also estimate an additional 1 hour for every 1000 feet.
