On Saturday March 9, 2019, thirty-four artists and educators gathered in the Crucible's upstairs community space to share practice and build amazing creative community. We heard from Lance McGee about how to care for ourselves and for the young people we work with through trauma-informed practice. Rikki Smeltzer led us in a leather bracelet making workshop that provided hands-on experiential learning and craft building. Finally Mika Lemoine engaged us in an interactive hip hop lesson that opened up broader conversations around social justice practice through Creative Youth Development.
