We are a collective of program administrators, teaching artists, executive directors, district staff, and funders working to strengthen the arts education ecosystem through collaborative partnerships between local community arts organizations and Oakland Unified School District public schools.

Our Monthly Meetings

In school year 22-23, Oakland Unified Arts Partners will meet monthly ONLINE on the 4th Thursday of the month (unless that day falls on a holiday) from 10:00AM - 11:00AM.
Past meetings have included teaching artists, community arts organizations, funders, arts advocates, Oakland Cultural Affairs Commissioners, and District Visual and Performing Arts Office staff.

Advocating for Oakland Arts Education Funding

We work to ensure the sustainability of Oakland's emerging artists and legacy arts organizations.

Oakland Teachers 2019 Strike

Oakland Unified Arts Partners came together to share messages of solidarity and support with Oakland Teachers.

2019 Learning Community

From leather dyeing to trauma-informed self care, we built creative teaching practice on March 9, 2019 at the Crucible.

Who is Involved?

Our monthly meetings are open to any community arts organization, funder or group actively working to ensure that all Oakland young people have access to the arts through their public schools.
