The NZ 420 Association

Our mission

The New Zealand International 420 Class Association is dedicated to the support, development and growth of International 420 Class sailors in New Zealand for the purpose of achieving competitive excellence in international competition by New Zealand sailors. At the forefront of fulfilling this mission is: sailor and fleet development; education and training needed to succeed in international competition; and sponsorship of sailors, events and activities consistent with fulfilling this mission.

Our objectives

Our Association is affiliated with Yachting New Zealand (YNZ). Among our key objectives are:

  • Promoting and developing the International 420 dinghy class within New Zealand

  • Encouraging and fostering the enjoyment of the sporting and recreational aspects of sailing through the use of the 420 dinghy

  • Acting in accordance with the rules and directions of the International 420 Class Association, YNZ and World Sailing the International Sailing Federation (ISAF).
