Dedicated to the support, development and growth of the International 420 Class and its sailor members in New Zealand.
Indicative Calendar for 2026/7 Season (NB: 7 events - you may need to scroll on the table below to see them all)
Please note, Association membership for the 2026/7 sailing season of $50 payable from 1st December 2026. It is only due if you intend to sail at Oceanbridge, 420 Class Nationals, 2026 Youth Worlds, or Open Worlds 2027.
The International 420 is a great next step that teaches sailors double handed sailing with the trapeze and spinnaker and allows them to gain a solid understanding of the technical aspects of boat and rig tuning. It can sail in a wide range of conditions and provides a solid foundation for moving ahead into any senior class.
Since 2000, New Zealand sailors have won the 420 Open World Championship three times (2006, 2007, & 2018) and twice won the 420 Womens World Championship (2007 and 2009).
The NZ 420 Association is grateful for the support given to our campaigning sailors.
