Traffic Enforcement

Traffic Enforcement, sometimes known as TE, is a certification within SONYRP dedicated to working to ensure that the roadways in Onondaga County are safe. Traffic Enforcement is a professional certification requiring very mature officers who are willing to be the best officer possible while on patrol. Officers that are not meeting the expectations will be delt with accordingly. TE units are trained officers specializing in Traffic Enforcement, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, DUI/DUI checkpoints, MVA/VC Incidents, and more vehicular jobs.
