Call for Proposals

The proposal submission deadline is October 9th, 2026

The New York Library Association/Section of School Librarians would like to invite you to share your ideas and successes with colleagues from across New York State by presenting at our NYLA-SSL 2027 Conference, taking place from Thursday, April 29th to Saturday, May 1st, at the new Turning Stone Convention Center. 

There are ​two different types of presentations:

• 45-minute Workshop: An in-depth presentation on a particular topic, tool, or resource. Note: Vendor presentations or presentations that "sell" a product are not allowed.  

• 5-minute Ignite Session: A 5-minute presentation with 20 slides (each slide advances automatically after 15 seconds) to share your passion in a continuous rapid-fire workshop with other presenters.

Please complete the form linked above if you are interested in presenting. The submission deadline is August 24, 2026. The Conference Committee will notify presenters of the status of their application via email by September 30, 2026 (this date will be extended given the extended submission deadline). This will allow us to release our schedule before registration begins.
