Mikach Ruoth is Nyikal Organization's flagship girls' mentorship initiative, designed to help vulnerable girls develop the confidence, resilience, leadership, and mindset needed to thrive in school and in life.
Our approach goes beyond traditional mentorship. We believe lasting change begins with transforming how a girl sees herself.
Grounded in Romans 12:2, our Bible-centered transformational framework combines identity formation, practical mentorship, leadership development, academic support, and entrepreneurial thinking to help girls build the internal capacity to overcome adversity and create brighter futures.
Pilot Location: 📍 Nyalenda Kisumu, Kenya
Pilot Cohort: 30 girls
Many girls from vulnerable households face challenges that extend far beyond the classroom.
Extreme poverty, limited exposure to positive female role models, transactional relationships driven by economic hardship, teenage pregnancy, HIV vulnerability, and school dropout continue to limit opportunities for thousands of girls.
While these issues are complex, we believe one important piece of the solution begins within the mind.
Before a girl changes her circumstances, she must first believe she is capable of changing them.
Mikach Ruoth exists to cultivate that belief—and to equip girls with the practical tools, supportive relationships, and opportunities they need to succeed.
Our hypothesis is simple:
When vulnerable girls experience consistent identity transformation, positive mentorship, practical leadership opportunities, and supportive learning environments, they will demonstrate improved educational outcomes, stronger self-belief, increased school retention, and greater long-term resilience.
The first cohort serves as a pilot to test, refine, measure, and strengthen this framework before expanding to additional schools and communities.
Rather than focusing only on academic tutoring, Mikach Ruoth develops the whole girl.
Our framework combines five interconnected pillars.
Grounded in Romans 12:2, we help girls renew their minds by replacing limiting beliefs with truth, confidence, and purpose using our 30-day mental transformation curriculum.
Because transformed thinking produces transformed living.
Girls don't simply attend sessions.
They lead.
They organize community projects.
They solve problems.
They make decisions.
Leadership is learned by doing.
We cultivate habits that strengthen learning, including:
• Reading culture
• Library engagement
• Study discipline
• Public speaking
• Critical thinking
• Reflection
• Accountability
We believe confidence and academic performance reinforce one another.
Every girl carries gifts worth developing.
Through creative projects, business thinking, financial literacy, and practical problem-solving, girls learn how their talents can create value for others and opportunities for themselves.
Inspired by Proverbs 31, mentors intentionally model:
Compassion
Wisdom
Diligence
Integrity
Stewardship
Courage
Kindness
Excellence
Character is taught through example, practice, and reflection.
Mikach Ruoth is powered by the Nyikal Queens Club—a growing community of women committed to investing in the next generation.
The club brings together accomplished professionals, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders who mentor, encourage, and walk alongside girls as positive role models.
Together, they demonstrate what is possible when women intentionally empower other women.
Every girl deserves to feel valued.
Each Mikach Ruoth participant receives a Dignity Kit containing essential personal care items and other practical resources that support health, confidence, and school attendance.
We partner with businesses and donors to ensure every girl begins the program with dignity.
Transformation takes a community.
