Earthwatch’s Project Kindle Teacher Fellowship. It’s a wonderful opportunity for high school science teachers, and we hope you’ll help us share the word with your network. I do want to also note we have specific funding for NYC Public HS teachers. I’ve included some information below: We are now accepting applications for our Project Kindle 2018 Fellowship Program for teachers. Project Kindle’s goal is to prepare teachers for organizing a student group on an Earthwatch expedition. Awarded teacher fellows will experience a fully funded expedition during the 2018 summer with other Project Kindle Teacher Fellows. In addition to the typical activities and tasks on our research expeditions, there will also be workshops and trainings to prepare teachers on organizing their students to join an expedition. These resources include topics such as best practices for recruiting students, communication with parents, seeking scholarship funding for students, and overcoming additional obstacles. The ultimate goal is to bring your students on an Earthwatch expedition in the summer of 2019 or 2020. More information on Project Kindle can be found at: http://earthwatch.org/projectkindle
