My name is Nya Conley, and I am originally from Johnson City, Tennessee, nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. My journey in pharmacy began with a curiosity about what you could truly do with a PharmD—a question I have spent the past four years answering. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in May 2023 and am currently a PharmD candidate at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, Class of 2025. This spring, I will also graduate with Leadership Distinction in Professional and Civic Engagement, a recognition of my dedication to advocacy, service, and professional growth.
They say there are endless possibilities with a PharmD, and through my experiences, I have found my place in pharmacy. From my early days as a pharmacy technician to leading initiatives that promote healthcare innovation, my career has been shaped by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and a passion for meaningful impact. I plan to pursue a residency to become a clinical pharmacist postgraduation, a path inspired by my diverse experiences across managed care, psychiatric pharmacy, correctional healthcare, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
This e-portfolio is a reflection of my journey—both within and beyond the classroom—highlighting the pivotal moments that have shaped my career goals. These experiences have provided me with a strong clinical foundation, a deep commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to be an impactful leader within the profession. My belief in lifelong learning, leadership, and service drives me forward, and I am excited for the opportunity to contribute to the ever-evolving world of pharmacy.
