Kick-Off Meeting Details

Date/Time: August 30, 2018, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Location: Toledo Lucas County Main Library, Huntington Meeting Room (first floor, located on the left hand side of the Wintergarden atrium, behind the stairs. See circulation staff for assistance if needed.)

Registration: There is no actual limit to the number of attendees, but getting a headcount would be greatly appreciated, please respond to this form to indicate your attendance.

Parking: Free, validation will be provided, you’ll get a sticker for the ticket you receive when you enter the garage. Please make sure to bring your parking ticket with you to the meeting. Enter the parking garage off of Adams Street.

Food: Snacks and coffee will be provided at the start of the meeting, please either plan to bring a lunch or purchase one from a nearby restaurant (possibilities linked to below). The library cafe will be closed by this point in advance of our renovation, but there are a number of food options within walking distance:

  • 10:00 – 10:30 Coffee social/networking

  • 10:30 – 12:00 Open discussion on scope/purpose of NWOCHG

    • What do people envision this group doing or accomplishing? What would everyone like to get out of this group? Are there any projects people already have in mind? How can we support each other?

  • 12:00 – 12:15 Break

  • 12:15 – 1:15 Brown bag lunch

    • During lunch we’ll go around the room, introduce ourselves to the group and describe our responsibilities and organization, as well as discussing what digital projects we are working on.

  • 1:15 – 2:00 Open discussion on future meetings, schedule, and venues

    • How frequently should we be meeting? How should the meeting agenda be adjusted? Who is willing to host a meeting?
