Over the past decade, advances in wireless communication and mobile computing have led to the evolution of advanced form of distributed computing. Additionally, progress in cloud computing has changed the world of computing by eliminating the requirement of owning large-scale servers by the organizations and shifting the computing tasks towards the data centers. The combination of new forms of large scale complex networks and distributed computing have given rise of emerging areas like Internet of Things (IoT), Social Networks, Big Data management and analysis, green computing, 5G etc. Originated from RFID and wireless sensor networks (WSNs), the paradigm of IoT has been transforming every aspect of human life including healthcare, energy, transportation, manufacturing and entertainment. This workshop will consider the research works which have accelerated this change in the computing world. The workshop will also highlight the applications which have been built on top of the complex networks based on distributed computing systems with particular focus on healthcare, transportation, smart city, green com- puting and 5G. The workshop will focus on women participation in the research targeting the following (but not limited to) emerging fields:
Architecture and Networking of Distributed Computing
Mobile and Cloud Computing
Network Security, Privacy and Reliability
Scheduling and Resource Management
Internet of Things
Large Scale Complex Networks
Big data storage and I/O
Blockchain
Applications and services in healthcare, transportation, smart city and entertainment
Green computing
5G/ 6G networks and technologies
Smart Agriculture
