NATIONAL VIRTUAL STEM INNOVATION COMPETITION 2026 (NVSIC'26)

The National Virtual STEM Innovation Competition 2026 is a national-level virtual innovation competition designed to provide a meaningful platform for school and university students to showcase new ideas, creativity and innovative solutions through STEM. Held under the STEM Innovation & Career Ecosystem (STEM-ICE) initiative, this competition is organised by the Persatuan Mahasiswa Sains (PMS), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) as part of its commitment to strengthening STEM career exposure and cultivating a stronger culture of innovation among students. The programme is conducted fully online to encourage broader, more inclusive participation from various locations. 

In line with current developments and future demands, the competition focuses on nurturing a creative, innovative and future-ready mindset among participants. More than just a competition, it serves as a platform to enhance participants’ ability to think critically, communicate effectively, collaborate productively and develop impactful innovations that address real-world challenges. Through this initiative, participants are encouraged to produce competitive and meaningful solutions that are relevant to today’s rapidly evolving technological and societal landscape. 

Aligned with its official theme, “Innovating for a Sustainable, Intelligent and Inclusive Future,” the competition highlights four main categories, namely Environmental Technology and Energy, STEM Education, Digital Technology and AI, and Community Wellbeing Technology. It is hoped that this competition will attract participants from across the country to develop innovative products and ideas that are not only creative and competitive, but also capable of contributing meaningful solutions to communities, industries and the nation.
