In 1995, Reverend Eugene Smith, under direction from the Lord, started New Vision of Faith Ministries. In October 1995, New Vision of Faith was incorporated and the first service was held at the Salvation Army in Decatur, Georgia. Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Cooper of Trinity AME Church, Atlanta, GA preached the inaugural sermon. Services were held each Sunday at 2:00 pm.

Rev. Smith continued to serve as an Associate Minister at Mount Pleasant until the church called a pastor. In 1996, Pastor Smith returned to Ira Pure Holiness Church of God to work with his father, Elder Ira L. Smith, as Assistant Pastor, after the passing of his mother. He served there for two years and then returned to New Vision of Faith from 1998 until 2002

In 2002, Rev. Smith was called to Pastor Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, where he served until 2007. It was at 

this time, the Lord instructed Pastor Smith to continue his work at New Vision of Faith Ministries. On December 9, 2007, Pastor Smith met with a group of individuals who shared his vision and passion for the work of the Lord and the church. Everyone present was excited about the work we were about to do.   Our re-inaugural service was held on December 16, 2007. 

In June of 2012, we were blessed to purchase our current sanctuary on over 2 acres of land and believe God to enlarge our territory.

In October of 2023, New Vision of Faith Ministries, Inc. connected in fellowship with the Pure Holiness Churches of God.

We believe that without a Vision, the people perish, and the best is yet to come. We are forward-focused and our evangelistic call is to “Get engaged, Get Involved and Ignite,” empowered by the Holy Spirit.
