INFO MEETING MONDAY SEPTEMBER 8TH 2025 2:30 PM
The UAS4STEM competition is organized by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and hosted every year in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, at the EAA Airventure airshow. In order to qualify for the international competition in July, each team must pass a flight readiness review presentation in the spring and be selected for the competition as well as pass the UAS4STEM groundschool.

The UAS4STEM beginners division involves identifying targets on the ground and recording their GPS coordinates. Additionally, one of the targets will have a defect icon displayed, and this defect must be identified. Each team must also deliver a presentation to a board of judges at the competition detailing your engineering process, design details, test data, and saftey procedures.
The UAS4STEM advanced division involves picking up, carrying, and delivering a payload using your drone in addition to identifying targets on the ground. Teams can also earn extra points by doing these tasks autonomously with as little pilot input as possible. Like the beginner division, each team also delivers a presentation to the judges.
