FASD Awareness Month

September is FASD Awareness Month

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Awareness Month is observed every September and September 9 is International FASD Awareness Day.

There are many ways you can be involved. We have two toolkits available from our partners (linked and also available if you scroll down):

FASD United: FASD-focused materials and templates, including social media graphics, updated fact sheets, information about the FASD Respect Act, local state affiliates, and how you can participate in Run FASD 2024 or the FASD Impact Week

FASD National Partner Network: prevention-focused and intended for healthcare professionals, including social media graphics and example posts, a video, a video call background, email signature blocks, a PowerPoint template, and suggested newsletter/blog text.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) also provides a free downloadable toolkit to help spread awareness about the process of recovery and share hopeful messages for Recovery month, which is also in September.

Mix & match from these three toolkits to best suit your needs or the needs of your patients or clinic!

And remember to tag #GiveFASDaSeat #FASD51 #FASD and #FASDNPN!
