Sister Carolina Agravante was motivated to develop her theory to address the challenges in nursing education caused by globalization. She recognized the need for new nursing leaders who are skilled, compassionate, and able to adapt to changes in technology and society, while prioritizing and maintaining care and service to others.
Agravante is not just a theorist but also a mentor to many aspiring nursing leaders, shaping their thinking about leadership, education, and care.
She is famous for being the first Filipina theorist for writing the CASAGRA Transformative Leadership Model.
She has held and continuously hold various administrative positions in different St. Paul College/Universities in the Philippines.
She is active in national nursing organization committed to the advancement of nursing profession.
While Sister Agravante’s primary focus is on the Philippine nursing community, her work has gained international recognition, influencing nursing educators and practitioners around the world.
Sister Agravante is not only passionate about nursing but also deeply involved in community outreach. She believes that nurses should not only care for individuals in hospitals but also serve their communities in times of need.
