- Notes you choose to save with shifts or paychecks
- App preferences, such as country, currency, pay period settings, week start day, and other saved configuration choices
This information may be personal information if it relates to you and can reasonably be linked to you.
Information stored or generated on your device
The app may also create or store:
- Widget summary data used to display your weekly hours, expected pay, and next shift in widgets
- Temporary CSV export files you generate
- Local notification content and scheduling information for reminders you enable
- Local app settings such as onboarding completion and certain app state preferences
Information collected automatically or by service providers
Depending on enabled features and third-party service settings, we and our service providers may collect limited technical information such as:
- App version, device type, operating system version, language, and general diagnostic information
- Crash reports, performance information, error logs, and app hang data

2. How Your Information Is Stored
NurseShift is designed to be local-first.
- App data you enter is stored on your device using Apple's on-device data storage frameworks
- If iCloud is enabled for the app on your device, app data may also sync through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure
- If you add a NurseShift widget, a limited snapshot may be stored in the app's shared app group container on your device so the widget can display summary information
- If you use CSV export, export files are generated locally on your device and may remain in temporary storage until you share or delete them
- If you enable notifications, reminder content and schedule information may be processed by Apple's notification framework on your device
We do not currently provide a standalone NurseShift username/password account system in the app.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Save and display your shifts, templates, differentials, locations, pay settings, and paycheck records
- Calculate estimated pay, overtime, double time, and differentials
