My podcast is called "Reading Books with Nuri" and it's basically me, reading a book. We've read A Little Princess, by Frances Hodgson Burnett, some Sherlock Holmes short stories, and are now taking a back-to-school-and-podcasting short break with some other short stories.

My podcast came about when I just really wanted to make one. At first, I wanted to record a little every day about what had happened, and then post it, but my parents talked me out of it.
It's dangerous to put your information on the internet, where other people (sometimes bad) can find it and use it for bad! So, I decided to start a reading podcast.

I love books. I love reading them, I love reading about them, and, most importantly, I love smelling them.

I decided to start by looking for public domain books. I didn't even know what it meant, but now I do. It means it doesn't have copyright and anyone can do anything with it. I wasn't sure if I wanted something mysterious like Sherlock Holmes or something more regular, like What Katy Did. And then I found it. A Little Princess.

So I also looked for a rhyme. I love rhymes, because they rhyme. And I found this book called The Jingle Book, which contained lots of jingles (which are rhymes).

In April, when I had finally decided what books (A Little Princess and The Jingle Book), how many episodes (two every week, Monday ad Thursday), what songs would use for intro+outro, and how I would record, I started. It was a lot of fun to do.

After a couple of weeks, I decided to make an email for my podcast, which you can use to contact me (readingbookswithnuri@gmail.com). I took a break during the summer, but did a couple of episodes just for fun (a couple of jingles) and then in September, with school, started regularly again. With one change.

Only one episode every week, on Monday. I just think that entering a new grade and writing, recording, editing, uploading, and releasing two episodes a week was just too much. Sorry to all the listeners out there who wanted two episodes a week!
